Here are some nickel prices for a few dates I picked out from the January and July issues of Coin Prices Magazine.

January: 1938 MS65 $8.00
July: 1938 MS65 $8.50

January: 1950-D MS65 $25.00
July: 1950-D MS65 $30.00

Also 1950-D increased increased about $2.00 in each of the lower grades in the July edition.

January: 1982-P MS65 $4.50
July: 1982-P MS65 $12.50

I've noticed on ebay the 1938 Jefferson is selling pretty well.

As expected after the introduction of the new nickels, I have seen a dramatic increase in collector interest in the Jefferson nickel series. Although I cannot state that I have seen large increases in prices realized (from our monthly auction or my personal dealer sales) I can say that I have seen less negotiation on ask prices and a higher volume. I would suspect that you will see a significant increase in price by year end - especially in the proofs.
