I've got an upcoming business trip to Toronto and was curious to know which banks in Toronto will sell rolls of Canadian pennies or nickels, or perhaps a box or two to someone who does NOT have an account with that bank. Can anyone clue me into which banks are helpful and which to avoid in this situation? Thanks!

Most banks should let you get rolls or a box

I'm almost never turned down when buying rolls, including when I'm in the States. Just go ask for some -- they seem to have plenty they want to get rid of!

I've been turned down plenty here in the states. Chase Bank gives me a hard time, as do most smaller credit unions. Wells Fargo is the only one that doesn't ask questions.

Sorry phil, but I have to differ with you , when out west Wells Fargo would not change my rolls or let me buy rolls.

Now when I go into the US where I live I get rolls and boxs all the time, so you should have no problem getting rolls or boxs in Canada.

CIBC is good for circulated coins. You can get rolls and return them without an account.

RBC: good for uncirculated rolls. However, they sometimes ask for account and personal information. Go directly to the business centre.
