Fiji have only just introduced a new currency so its likely that all of the coins will be the same date. Have a good time Jeff!

Have a great break Jeff! I'm with robster, not jealous at all ...... NOT ...... You've definately set the benchmark for the wavy .... although Squire did remind me about the fridge finds.
Hopefully the ground keeps still over there for you! Shakin' is for martinis not bitter!

The joys of working the occasional Saturday...picked up this one in the cash register. It had some light gunk on it that came off real easy, must've been like...I have no idea, not blu-tack, not banana, but sort of a cross between the two, came off real easy with a wooden toothpick. Very average grade, has a rim knock on the bottom of the reverse but there's no complaining when that Wavy 2 is waving around in front of your eyes from a distance. I pointed out the difference to my wife...her view way "I can't see it", my reply, have a look on ebay & one was sitting at $157.50. Nice score, I'll add it to the one I brought a couple of years ago. With a bit of luck I'll find a $1 mule to add next to my brought mule.

An interesting lesson in carefully inspecting your coins Last night I was noodling through rolls of 1 dollars and stumbled upon a lovely 1993 Landcare coin in near uncirculated condition . Of course, I then proceeded to compare this to the existing coin in my collection. This in order to determine which of the two is in better condition and would remain in my collection, with the other coin returning to the "financial ocean". Under careful inspection by Lupe I found that the coin I have had in my collection all this time was not an ordinary "Landcare 1993" coin. Instead it is one of 228,000 or so stamped out by a specially prepared press at the Canberra mint. See the "C" mint-mark in the attached image. That mint-mark is sooo small that I missed it during initial inspection. The coin is in lovely condition too Squire

Nice pick up there Squire. Looks like it has only just recently been taken out of its packaging. I reckon it is a keeper... Yep, those Mintmarks are subtle, and I make a point of keeping aside any Landcares, Outbacks and Parkes to examine more closely with a loupe just in case a m/mark is present. Same with the 2009 MOR.
