Ok maybe the title is a little strong but the semi annual STL coin show is this weekend and I brought $3k extra home from Vegas last weekend. I want to thank the NY Giants for allowing mr to add some more PMs to my hoard. That being said I don't really know what to invest in. I am def over weight in AG and in descent shape with AU. Platinum is where I would like to put some money but I hate the premium it seems to always bring. I am also thinking of buying a nice BU key for my morgan set, just seems like I pay to much for coins at these shows. That is one of the things I love about ebay. If I bid $70 and another guy bids $75 then for all intensive purposes it is worth $75. At a show I don't have the luxury of knowing what the coin would bring on the open market.

Where would you fine people invest some extra cash in todays markets?

I just hope I can control myself when I see all that beautiful gold and silver I can't help myself. I just can't figure out whats better a huge hunk of gold or a hot blonde?

Real tough choice, and I am thinking a gold plated blonde would be nice....

Provident has some decent prices on quarter oz. Platinum eagles, I would be tempted to add a couple oz. of platinum, seeing as how you already have some great G & S, but that is just me.....

I really like the proof 1/10s, but sure in all get out don't like the prices attached to them....

Again, Provident on the Platinum platypus 1 oz. rounds not too shabby of a price tag....

I would go quarter oz for sure however, just seems like the right increment for platinum coins and your cash to spend....

That's easy....go for the gold...

At least when you and the gold part ways, it doesn't take half your stuff!

Gold gets better with age. Hot blondes, not to much.

Hahaha!

Id go with platnium, just try to get the lowest premium obviously. Id do this because I think you could get a premium on it when you sell it and its usually ABOVE gold in value so yeah...when its below is the time to buy!

I've been in a relationship for 5 years now and I will say the gold because that is what I'm supposed to say. But really I'm saying the hot blonde. You can't take either with you when you die and I'd rather have the memories.

But if my fiance ever asks I told you to buy key date coins of a popular series in as high a condition as you can afford.

Check APMEX, they sent a promotion on Platinum a few day ago w/ a lower than normal premium (that's what I kinda remember). Also, Pamp Suisse bar is only $35 over spot for gold.

Both.

Get the gold first and when it breaks over 2k+, ask the blonde ...hey what's up?

Coin shows are a great place to buy! I have always had difficulty finding what I want though... I was trying to get an ounce of platinum last time I went, nut ended up with a 1924 ms-63 gauden.... which I love! Then gold prices fell like crazy haha

But you could always do something like and ounce of platinum 3/4 ounce of gold... or platinum, roll of silver eagles, rest in gold.

But I definately recommend getting what you think you will enjoy owning more

A friend I trust once told me diversification is key. That advice has never led me astray.

Gold, have good negotiation skills. This guy would not budge for off of $5180, but I got him down to $5170 for 3 oz of gold. That was $3 under spot at the time.

Maybe not but you DO know that no one who's seen it so far thought that it was worth the asking price. Otherwise, it would be gone.

Speaking of the hot blonde... did anyone else see the two gals in the silver and gold bikinis on the SGTReport web site? Dang! I almost drooled into my keyboard over that one!
