ANA Members: Beware Of Third-Party Hotel Sales Calls

The American Numismatic Association has received several calls from dealers saying a third-party company has contacted them to book a hotel for the World's Fair of Money in Philadelphia. This company is not affiliated with the ANA or its official hotels.

Similar companies have contacted ANA dealers in the past. In some instances, these dealers were left without a hotel room when they arrived at the convention. Additionally, hotels booked through third-parties do not earn stars for dealers.

The phone number taken from an ANA dealer's phone traced these recent calls to Convention Expo Travel, of Henderson, Nev. The company has a C rating with the Better Business Bureau, with 37 complaints in the last three years.

Please book your hotels through the official channels. Go to the World's Fair of Money website, www.worldsfairofmoney.com, and select Hotel Information for Philadelphia.
