Hello all just wondering about this coin in picture. I believe that they are die and clad Spanish looking "N" errors Please help if you can? Thank you all. :)

Are you suggesting that the us mint punched a tilded "n"? Unlikely... It looks like it took a hit right above the n. The "e" could be something else, but it definitely looks damaged. Sorry, but keep hunting! We'll wait for some experts though

On the United and States I don't see anything odd. Between that feather and the last part of States, looks like a bite mark or something. That cut through the E in Cents does appear to be PMD.

It's just wear, and possibly some dirt or a planchet defect. On IHCs, the legend's letters aren't punched independently in the die, so they look all the same.
