Can anyone describe the difference in appearance between the business strikes and satin finish for the 1965 Churchill Crown? There is a huge difference in value and I just received 3 of these from a client who has two of them marked "Satin Finish" but they look the same to me as others I've seen. I couldn't find any comparison pics on the internet.

Could it be from one of these sets?

I was looking at that site. I think the one they have pictured is the regular issue. All of these have a satin appearance on the Churchill side. If my client hadn't sent them to me marked "Satin Finish" I would have no doubt that these are regular issue. I don't think they came out of sets.

I looked around at some different sites and emailed a few dealers, but no one has dealt with a satin finish before. Maybe someone at the NJ show will know something.

I was pretty sure that these coins were not the Satin Finish specimens and I have since spoken with my client who told me that she didn't know anything about the coins she collected...she just liked them. She said that there are probably a lot of notes that she wrote on the holders that aren't right. From what I have read, the specimen coins while having a satin finish also have very sharp strikes. These coins do not have sharper strikes.
