Hard to believe at 1:45 pm eastern time we are a nickel away from $37/oz.. At $37 I make back all the premium I have paid for my last 20 ounces!

I have to say that I am on board with you throwbackid. I plan on cashing at least some in if/when it gets to $50.

I mean what's going to turn it around and make it drop and stay there? Real economic recovery? A paid down national debt? No wars? $2 gallon gas? Unemployment under 5%? A secure financial future for my children with secure knowledge that when they graduate college there will be good paying jobs available for them? Yeah - keep dreaming... especially if the current administration get their 5 more years.

Nice.

Which all really complicates plans for selling on a 2012 silver upswing, hoping for a fall in early 2013. Can anyone reliably predict two $10+ dips in a year?

Losing your hard earned position ahead of a potential 5 year economic slump is not worth it in my opinion!
Rest in Peace

Somebody dump a truckfull short would ya? Beat that price back down so I can scoop some up.

Truckfull? Remember last year when they dumped 50% of the world's annual production in one minute, and it didn't drop a quarter?

Yes, I do... and that was the 1st time that such an act was committed but didn't have the desired result. I bet that created some laundry problems... BIG-TIME!

We may be in for a interesting week, will we break 37... 38... ?

Yep, that could happen. Maybe a more psychologically important number would be passing $40/oz.? That could happen within 2-3 weeks. If the wheels come off the Greek bail-out situation, gold and silver could both be off to the races as people bail out of paper and into something a lot more substantial.

I'm not done buying yet either - and like I stated previously think it will continue to go up. But at some point I won't be able to buy it - or at least as much of it. I didn't have a silver coin to my name at the first of the year when I started accumulating it and the prices were $26 an ounce. I'm going to keep buying it though. If it goes up and up - I just won't be able to buy as much. If it should go way down, yippee I just get to buy more...

There's alot of buying going on...I was at one dealer buying a couple of rolls of quarters last weekend - a pretty good haul for me. And some one comes in wanting to buy $750 FACE of dimes...Yikes...but just think he'd of made a pretty penny in increased value in just 2 days.

Cant wait to see what happens over night...the west driving prices up and the east cashing in on it or jumping on the bandwagon?

Early spike to start the night on the other side of the planet, so who knows it may push on up more tonight, even though one would think some early morning profit taking may be taking place....

I don't know, if a buy panic sets in, an everyone turns buyer verses seller thinking it is gonna go 50 or beyond this year, may keep it on the rise. We have a long way to go yet, until market close Friday.....

back that chart up a bit rgathright. The weekend I started (might have been end of December, it was $26/$27 ounce. I had those spot prices burned in my memory for awhile...what, quarters aren't $5 and halves $10 no more? :(

Its all good as panic buying sets in. Its the fear selling that scares me. Now everyone here was around for the silver tank off when silver almost got to $50oz. Now whith all that still clear in everyones mind, all those people that were holding to sell for it to go higher I think are not going to get caught again and they are going to sell off if silver gets to $45 that way they dont get caught again. Personally, I'm not one of them but all the novice silver holders will. And that wont be good. Something needs to happen to shake that from peoples mind and get them to realize the potential of over $50, 60, and 75 for silver to really shoot up and take its place as a store of value over the industrial metal persona. My thoughts. CHEERS!
