It sure seems to be taking off like a rocket! Give it a few hours, though, and it will probably plummet back down to $34 or something...

9:30 am eastern time and silver is clawing to stay above $36. It never is easy. I think we will close above $36 today because,in spite of profit-taking,buyers will step in afraid of missing a low price opportunity before another major climb in price. I'm glad I got my 10 ounce bar last week!

Silver is finally starting to show it's value. It's been a bargain for the last few months and now people will be scrambling for it before it reaches somewhere between $75-$100.

Many thanks those who pointed out the low trends back in December and January! Should be a fun show to watch now.

Almost $37 now. I made a "deal" for some AU mercs yesterday ...hadn't heard back from the guy. Now I know why. He must be hoping I'll forget about it... :) Earl

I am in the market for some .999 fine silver, but I am holding off buying. This move smells of momentum trading, and the silver market is easier to manipulate than others due to its size. Could be wrong of course, and if so, I will just have to be happy with my current stack.

If you are looking for profit this may be the time. If you are buying I would be cautious. I'm not saying not to buy but don't bet the farm to get in on the action. I still wonder where all the under $25 guys warning of big drops are lately? It has been over 8 months and silver is far closer to $40 than $25. I guess they will come back when silver starts to drop again. If you buying at these prices once again I advise watch your premiums very carefully. A $1.54 increase in one day is interesting for silver.

Mee to VetStudent but unfortunately I didn't buy as much as I would have liked. Personally, I think even the $37 an ounce will seem low when it's twice that and anyone that didn't jump on somewhere on the ride will regret it.
I mean what's going to turn it around and make it drop and stay there? Real economic recovery? A paid down national debt? No wars? $2 gallon gas? Unemployment under 5%? A secure financial future for my children with secure knowledge that when they graduate college there will be good paying jobs available for them? Yeah - keep dreaming... especially if the current administration get their 5 more years.
