This should seem fine: (Sorry for the bad quailty) but where's the mint mark? Is it counterfeit? Error? I looked at the exaple on the mint website. It does contain a mint mark. Do you have one with a mint mark? Here's another question: The third colourized quaterin the serie comes out in March. How does Colonial Acres have them? How is it already selling them?

Not unusual for the Mint to post the wrong obverse pic. Your coin is normal.

Does anyone have one with the mint mark? In my experience, after the new logo came out, all canadian circulation coins had the mark on them.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere on this forum that they introduced that mark to seep it into the public's heads, and that everything after the initial markings would be on collectors' coins only. Am I right?

I believe they stopped putting the mint mark on commemoratives in 2010- The Navy Dollar, the Olympic Games dollar, the Sask. Roughriders dollar, the 2011 Parks dollar, the 2011 Boreal Forest Toonie- none of them have mint marks.

It's not a mint mark it's a logo. The term mint mark has a very specific definition for this hobby, and denotes the location at which a coin was produced. The logo is used by both the Winnipeg and Ottawa mints. There are pre 2010 commems such as the 2008 $2 Quebec City that have no logo.I read somewhere that it is because of copyright issues that many commemoratives don't have the logo, which is the trademark of the RCM. The mint isn't the only place that has wrong obverse pics, check out your Charlton's.
