Large French Ecu De France Token?

This crown size French token has had me baffled for quite some time. It is approx. 36 m.m, made of white metal,coin alignment, and weighs 15.6 grams. The design on one side is a repro of the reverse of an early Ecu. The other side seems to be advertising something. I don't believe it's a trade token. I don't find it listed in any French token or jeton catalogues. Would like to know who issued it and what it is for.
