I believe this is a HT-350; Low-88, but I'm not positive. These Bucklin's pieces seem to always be in wretched condition because they were poorly struck to begin with. The portrait on this one is fairly decent, but the other side is well worn and off center. Is my I.D. correct?

Thanks for the confirmation. This was a junk box find over 20 years ago.

Looks correct to me and I would agree most Bucklins tokens seem to be in low grades and often off center. Regardless you have a tough to find piece there.

Neat find! IMHO, the planchet and color are pleasing. To my experience, the wear is typical, and as is the case with many colonials, it really doesn't detract from the token's overall appeal.

I have been thinking about selling this token. I haven;t seen one offered in years. What are your opinions on a fair value? Has anyone seen one offered recently anywhere? Is ebay the best place to offer it?

IMHO, I'd see if Steve Hayden might accept it as an auction consignment. He attracts the serious HTT and CWT collectors, and he puts out the best catalog in the trade. There's a very limited buyer base for these rarer HTT varieties, and Steve's auctions are where the serious buyers go.

Exo is correct as Hayden does a great job attracting the right type of collectors and has a great collector base. If you list it elsewhere ( ebay) then please let us know. I don't have this piece in my collection.

Just by Googling Steve Hayden tokens:

BTW, Steve's auction catalogs are "the bomb" for avid token collectors. I can't bear to discard them. The pics and info therein make them worthy of a place in every exonumist's library.

Thanks for all the input. I haven't decided to sell it yet, but it will probably go on ebay when I do.
