It is from the Ottoman Empire but Egypt, not Turkey. Denomination 5/10 qirsh, Sultan Abdul Hamid II, ascension date AH 1293 (1876 CE), regnal year 20 (I believe). So it would date your coin at AD 1895.

How much would you say this coin is worth, £0.99?

Thanks in advance again

My catalog shows that year 20 is a key date, it's scarcer and therefore more valuable. In Fine condition you could expect an equivalent of US $3 for it, in Very Fine $10.

Thanks, I think I'll chuck it in with a few others and do a 99p start on ebay. Again thanks for the info, would have been stuck without it.
