Reading the paper today & I noticed a coloured version of our beloved Coat of Arms (COA) 50 cent piece...
Possible-New-Coloured-50-Cent-Piece?
It's obviously not really the coloured coin that we're all waiting far to patiently to un-veiled, but it's amazing how small these little northern corroboree forgs are. There are less than 1000 of them left in the wild & at that size I can surely see why.
Maybe this should be the subject of the next commemorative coin...then again we all love the Bundy 'Drop' Bear.

CROAK!
That is precisely what you will do if you eat one!
These little guys exude an alkaloid poison on their skin.

Maybe this is just the natural defence that Australia needs against the cane toad!
