Sorry , I am new here and I got it in the wrong section, But it is the holder I am interested in knowing something about not the coin. It should have been in ""Third Party Coin Grading ( TPG)" Thanks, Bob

It was used in the early 90's. They made the background color bright yellow so when someone would look at it, they would instantly know it's a problem coin. This type of holder wasn't used but for like a year or two, I believe.

Many thank to both of you posters Yes I do collect the plastic, Rattlers, ANACS Photo certs, old TPG holders But this holder has me a little stumped, under the yellow label is the ANACS under printing and there is a bar code so that would put it a year or two right after AMOS Press bought ANACS. I agree with the time frame, June 1990 Amos Press bought ANACS 1st label had no bar code, so that type of label was in use for one or two years, in 1991 or 92 the bar code was added. If it was not a yellow label it would be a reg issue type label for the period. Well thanks for the info Bob I have wrote a article on the ANACS Photo Certs that I would like to share with any one that can PM me with a email address.

Forgot on the last post That the reverse logos are in red or gold. When the bar code that has 5 or 6 digits in the serial number was added to the front, the reverse hologram are now all in red. When the serial numbers were changed to 7 digits the reverse hologram have been changed to gold. And the holder is just a little bit smaller on the ones with 5 or 6 digit serial number, then the ones with a 7 digit bar code. It is like there is a transistional holder because the plastic is as small as the 1st type but it has a bar code which seem like a later type that are in the bigger holder. Thanks, Bob

Six digit serial numbers can come with either the red or the gold(?) logos.(I see them as a silver-gray, others have told me they are green) I show that the gold logos, (or whatever color they are) began in 1997. During the 92 to 97 period they were also transitioning between the small and larger size holders. They also were getting their inserts from two different suppliers and there is a small difference in the inserts. The recess that the hologram sits in can be either a single step down in level, or a double step.
I have seen those yellow label slabs before. The were an experiment that ANACS tried around 1992 an quickly abandoned opting to go instead with the details/net grade route. The yellow label slabs are pretty scarce to rare. At least in my experience.

Conder101 Thanks for the info that helps alot This yellow label is only the 2nd one I have ever seen, The first one was ten or so years ago. I have been trying to get my ANACS article to you but I don't know if it has been delivered to you by your email address, I don't get any errors showing that there is a problem. So I hope you have a copy, If not please PM me and I will get it to you right away. Bob
