Hello all, new member here.

I've found a number of old bills stuffed inside a book left me by my father. He spent time in North Africa and Italy during WWII and most of them are from those areas. I discovered your forum yesterday and was immediately able to identify a German propaganda US 5$ bill (on the US banknote forum). So now I turn to you guys. Any information you can give me on these notes (and others to come) would be greatly appreciated. Do they have any collectable value?

Also, please advise as to how I should store these. I'm quite certain "stuffed in a book" is not ideal!

Thanks.

hey btsmith

first note - I think it is "Algeria - Banque de l'Algerie - P82 - 500 Francs"

second note - I think it is I think it is "Algeria - Allied Occupation - Banque de l'Algerie - P91 - 5 Francs"

third note - I think it is I think it is "Tunisia - Banque de l'Algerie - Overprinted TUNISIE - P8a - 5 Francs"

As to value not that much I would think given the condition of the notes

The 500F Algeria note is far and away the better of the three, and would probably net you $20-40 on ebay in that condition.

Store them in mylar banknote holders - http://denlys.com/inventory/holders...ck%20Holders for example.
