Way to make a guy feel old, Apollo. Sadly, Dave, it is indeed a replica of an ancient Jewish Revolt coin; the "modern" styling of the lettering gives it away as a replica. Click on the above link and you'll see you're not the only person to be fooled by them. Given the number of replies along the lines of "Hey, I've got one too", they must be extremely common over there in North America. I've even seen news articles about people "finding ancient Jewish coins in their change", when it's just one of these replicas.
