I got a 2004 20$ in change the other day, serial 5432221, any added value? unfortunately it has a severe fold in the middle and small tears top and bottom, so any premium will be smaller than it might

I would spend it. If it was 7654321 I would keep it.

I think that note would still be considered a latter, not as nice as the one Coincollector1 suggested but still a ladder. Unfortunately I have to agree with coincollector1 it is a spender. That serial # might bring you a small premium but with the fold and the tear it wont be worth more then FV IMO.

One digit is missing though. There should be 8 digits. Irregardless, since it is torn, it isn't worth saving. Good eyes for spotting it though.

Whoops, it should be 54332221, I will probably hold it as it is my only bill with the #s in order, just wish it was in as good shape as the 1963 1$ I got today, it is almost pristine

It is a nice ladder note. Where did you get that nice $1 note from? It sounds like you are on a roll for finding interesting notes.
