For any new collectors out there, I highly recommend Robert Azpiazu' s Collectors Guide to Modern Federal Reserve Notes 1963-2009. It's chocked full of additional information and since it's spiral bound, you can lay it flat and make notations in the guide. Report this Post to the Staff

This is a Heritage Auction description of a note similar to yours ; A beautiful full color tint note by Wellstood, Hay & Whiting, New York showing two Native American hunters on horseback as a train passes in the distance. A female portrait is at lower left, and a large "1" counter is at the right end. Vermillion micro-lettering covers most of the face. In deeper vermillion are the die at top left and the outline of the ONE protector at the bottom. A lovely note and an especially choice example. There are three broad margins and extraordinary color.
