Nice sheets Wheat, I really like sheets. And, super pair of 1963 $10 Kansas City matching serial notes...not easy to do, well done Jimbo. Another unreported block (H-G) for 2003A $2 FRNs.  |

Which leads me to ask, were the backs & fronts printed in 2006 and the serial numbers recently applied, or were the notes serial numbered back in 2006 ? So possibly early stored sheets that never had the final printing until much later, like the old large size $1 USN Burke/Elliott reverse sig KA block (I know that's an obscure reference)?

I hope this illustrates just how desperate I am to find a 2009 $10 JC-B block note. This poor note has lead a life of abuse. A tear in the left margin, numerical graffiti (in pen) graces the right side, too many folds to count and absolutely no crispness remains whatsoever. The only thing it has going for it is a semi-fancy serial number. I've been actively searching for a 2009 $10 JC-B note for over a year and this is the first and only example I've ever seen.  |

Since the Federal Reserve, and not the BEP, is the monetizing authority for currency, and these notes are never delivered to the Fed, are they really even money? Does the Fed monetize these notes in some other than the usual manner? Since the US Mint is both the producer and monetizer for coins, it's much easier with coins. If the Mint makes it and releases it, then it's money. |
