Don't scoff at the Salem for its condition.

Nice selection of Virginia nationals, WheatBack, and congrats on the Salem note.

I've been looking for years for a national banknote from the town I was born in; though it was a small town, they had 3 national banks which issued notes. Unfortunately, there are only a few notes of any denomination in the census from any of those banks, with some being unique, so they seldom come up for auction. I'll keep looking, and will be happy to acquire any of those in whatever grade I can get!

The Summit Bank printed a nice set of small change notes. The deer is really well done!
Just noticed as I was posting that the 25c note doesn't have flourishes around the obligation. I would have thought they would have used the same obligation on all the notes. Or is there 2 varieties?...

It's been awhile since my last posting, in fact so long I had forgotten how to resize the photos to under 300kb.

I've been chasing this pair of Web-press misalignment error notes for some time now and after 20 years of collecting Web Errors feel I have finally completed this collection.

The top note is the Plate Note in the Web-press 2018 handbook, my census charts for both these notes show only one example from each sheet having been confirmed, how many of the other 15 examples from either sheet is anyone's guess.

Wow, that's impressive, Broken-Coin! I don't collect errors (neither coins nor notes), but that's really something.

1908 100 Mark Reichsbanknote; green seal

These bills aren't worth very much but the artistry and deep blue colouring is amazing. They are large bills, about 4 X 6.5 inches.

@Broken-Coin, great error notes. The forum gets and awful lot of "almost" misalignment error notes. Didn't need to put on my glasses to see the whopper Web note misalignments there. Must be pretty cool to finally get the ones you've been looking for after all this time. May I ask why you removed them from the PCGS holder?

@Diverdude, you may want to also check out the non-US banknote forums on the site as well. You will see a lot of great Reischbank notes there.

Thanks @captaincoffee. I like the old large notes whether German, Russian, Hungarian, etc. The old Russian rouble notes from before the 1917 Revolution are gorgeous works of art. I've also got a large group of German Notgeld notes showing up soon. I'm excited to browse through them.
