I'd go AU58 on it. Only very slight signs of circulation.

Never got around to posting these. The $2 is a 1928D mule. It was sold to me as a non-mule for a few dollars.

Hadjuk - Very interesting! Tell us a little bit about it. please.

WheatBack - What sort of condition is the $2 in? Nice pick-up! And thanks for the grade on the '34-D star - super note.

I just bought a nice small NC note, and am working on another. Will post one later today.

hajduk, very interesting Weimar note. I doubt they were able to find anyone trading gold or a US Dollar one of these for back then.

Nice Hawaii note, DavidUK. According to Schwartz and Lindquist, only the overprinted notes were allowed in the islands between August 1942 and October 1944. I'm guessing this means that the banks pulled the standard notes from circulation pretty quickly, but I've never found out more about it.

PS - The PC block is fairly common in this series. The one to watch out for is the FC block, and in CU grades, the AC block.

Thank-you!

And it's a choice AU. I wish it was fully a UNC mule, but hey, I can't complain due to the fact I paid next to nothing for it.

Next I need a 1928C mule.

Ah, for the good old days of colored seals! Red, blue, gold, yellow or brown - love 'em all.
