I'm not a collector of paper money but after 60+ years collecting coins your bound to have a few. I believe the serial #'s go up to 96000000. I know they aren't as glamorous as the low #'s but they are what they are. Here are a few odds n' ends I've pulled from circulation over the years. This is my highest fed res. note to date.,  I also have this high # silver cert star note.,  Then there is this oddball.,  |

There isn't any market for high numbers unless they're fancy serial numbers.
Your star note silver certificate looks really nice.
When did you pull it out?

Most modern replacement notes start with a zero. Some with several zeros. I challenge any member to post a $1 replacement note with a higher serial number.  |

As far as small-size $1 notes are concerned, my opinion is Moderns start at the beginning of Federal Reserve Notes, series 1963. I'm aware that in the early 1960s, both $1 SCs and $1 FRNs were both being printed, but that's where I draw the line. The era where all $1 replacement notes have the star at the end of the serial number. |

I also have one of those Barr Stars beginning with a "5".. looked right passed it in the circulation finds folder :-)

Since posting in this thread a couple of months ago I decided to pursue a new useless endeavor which I call "The 95 Club"..
I've decided to save notes I find in circulation that start with at least a "95" and up but only ten of them.. when I find a new one, the lowest number gets bumped off the list and spent..
Condition isn't a consideration for this "project" as I just want to try and compile the highest ten serial numbers I can find in circulation because it's cheap fun and I really get a kick from the thrill of the chase :-)
I've already bumped a few off in the last month or so and this is where I'm at so far...
