So I chased my dad up to see if he had any coins left, and he told me where to find a box of old photos, bits and bobs, and coins.
Along with some foreign ones..

there were these British ones. I look forward to finding out more about them.

its hard to make out some of the coins in that pic, but basically in a nutshell, you have an edward 7th penny (1902 - 1910 cant make out date in pic), George 5th pennies and half penny (i think that half penny has his head on it, cant see properly), all between 1911 and 1936 I presume. see some modern day 2ps, 1980s and 1990s.
also english 5p, 1968 - 1994, after that they changed it to a smaller 5p. I'm not totally correct with my dates, if I'm wrong, sap will correct me.
not sure what coin is 3rd from left, 2nd row. I think its a 6p, but the pic is bad, or maybe its just my pc screen here in college, darn CRT monitors are poor for showing pictures.
all I can tell you it that these are common, easily obtainable in high grade, due to large mintage numbers.
your half pennys, ( the smaller ones on top) might have a lower mintage number.
i dont know the exact year they stopped minting these, 1970s I think.
someone else will correct me.

Banjax's info is pretty much spot on. Circulating decimal halfpence ceased in 1983 in Britain (1984 ones were only issued for collectors).

I'm worried about those green ones. Green on copper coins, unless they're ancient, is bad news, and can jump from coin to coin given the right conditions. You'd be best to keep those ones separate - don't toss them all together into a tin or jar.
