It is Mahmud II indeed, the ninth series, year 26. Minted in Constantinople, Turkey. Low grade silver, only 17%. I think Enlil meant 20 para; it could be a piastre - the answer to the size question would be nice to determine the coin (and its value). Report this Post to the Staff
