1978 large denticles has 120 denticles, with the word CANADA farther from the rim
1978 small denticles has 148 denticles, with the word CANADA closer to the rim
IMO they should be valued about the same in lower grades, and large denticles should have a premium in ms63 and up

Small beads used to be the scarcer one, and may still be listed as such. But after several years the large bead has proven to be much scarcer (in ICCS MS65) than the small.
