it looks uncirculated. Red Book won't help. Ideas on it's value. It's grade? I know it's 90% silver, but figure it's worth more than melt.

Can't help on value, but a couple points. First, this coin has definitely been circulated. Second, you'll find it listed under "German States - Bavaria" in a price guide.

KM# 915 .900 Silver. .8037 ASW... I would call it about Fine 15. Silver value....$26.39.

The coin is a 5 Mark silver piece form the state of Bavaria. It does show some wear on the portrait and the eagle, but has enough detail to warrant a VF grade. Value is at least bullion or slightly more.
