This one just arrived today. Overall, I don't like colorized coins. This is the first that simply took my breath away. The colors are much deeper with the coin in-hand. What do you all think of it?

That is REALLY cool! I'm looking for coins with fish on them. Any leads?
Here comes a probably dumb newbie question: Is that coin actually ciculated or is it strictly a collector item?

Susanlynn, I don't like colorized coins either but that one is a real beauty. Hope you have a good place to display it, it's too cool to be kept in a box! Talk about "toned" Margaret

Mary, I would suggest going on ebay and searching "fish coin". That's how I found my unicorn coins. That will give you a starting place to find which countries mint them. Margaret, this coin is being displayed on a glass shelf in my curio cabinet with the rest of my unicorn collection. The coins really offset the figurines very nicely.

Thanks for the info! How big is it? About the size of a quarter?

It's 1 oz bullion silver and the size of a silver eagle.

Hi Susan,
That is a pretty "colorized coin", but know you like it immensely, so that is all that counts. It was a fantastic job of colorizing the coin.

Susan: I am also not into colorized coins, but this one is beautiful. Here is alos a web site that my youngest daughter gave me which outlined the history of unicorns. http://www.unicorncollector.com/legends.htmHave fun, Ron (ronaldbb12)

Susan that coin is a KEEPER as China only made the Unicorn a couple of years, if I remember correctly, and my wife and I have yet to get our paws on one! Most of the older Panda's are also very tough so we always keep our eyes open! NOW I absolutely must pay more attention to the Unicorn WE don't have! Thanks for the photo!

Thanks, everyone. That's an interesting site, ronaldb. She is in her home now in the curio cabinet and she looks great there!
