I have searched through half dollar rolls once before. I got about 15 rolls and had a blast. I recently got a brinks box of cents and was wondering what the best way to search these would be. I looked through 13 rolls and it took about an hour. I did find some upgrades for my album and two wheaties ( a 40d and a 50d) any suggestions would be great

It depends on what you are looking for. Some people look for varieties/errors, and they usually search at a table and use a big magnifier. I'm just looking for wheats and upgrades to my memorial set (I pull coppers too, but that's not really my point in searching). I don't need magnification, so I like to do it on the floor, in front of the TV. Takes me about an hour and a half to two hours to do a box, but it used to be longer, when more of the memorial cents were upgrades.

Remember, these coins have been in circulation for years. Carefully sort them one by one and try not to scratch or treat them rough. Why? Because the potential for having a very rare find is in every roll and scratching it would be a shame.

Have fun with your searching efforts. We do love pictures here!
