These are just some of the woodies I found in 36 customer rolls. Hard to photo these.

Are they Woodies?

Interesting, I've never heard them called that before. I was always under the assumption that they were Dryer Coins (coins that got suck in a clothes dryer). I probably find 5-6 of those in a box-o-cents too. As far as I know though, no premium and PMD.

Not PMD but rather poor mix of the copper alloy. True, no premimum unless someone just loves them and some do. There are very stark examples that I would love to own.

Those are considered woodies, they're not as radical as some I've seen on older cents. Especially in the 20's-30's wheats.

I agree that they are woodies and are common on those dates. I keep them if they are in real good condition.

Thanks everyone, I thought they were, and when I came across so many in 36 customer rolls I just kept about 20 of em.

Some can have some really cool grain to them.

That's my understanding, something to do with the alloy mix.
