I have a 1973 Sterling Silver Bicentennial Medal. I can't seem to find the silver content. Any help?

gary, it's nearly impossible to tell without a pic. Starting in about '72 they've made dozens, if not hundreds of these. Sadly, some contained little, if any silver.

I also have a 1974 which just says commermorative medal. So I'm guessing no silver.

The US Mint struck a series of bronze and silver medals for the American Revolution Bicentennial Administration (ARBA) between 1972 and 1976. I believe they were minted to the same specs as the silver National Medal with the Statue of Liberty on the obverse. So, I believe they each contain 0.925 Troy ounces of silver.

I think they are attractive medals - especially in silver - and make a great supplement to a collection of our bicentennial coinage.

Hope that helps!
