Today I stopped at the bank to cash a check and picked up 2 rolls of cents and 2 rolls of nickels as I usually do. Both rolls of nickels turned out to be 2012 P mint brilliant uncirculated, the cents, not so much but I did get a 1952D wheatie.

The Jeffersons were in blue and white non bank rolls, non fed rolls is that the way things are done anymore?

I opened one roll to check on what was enclosed but kept the other sealed. The open roll I put in a different wrapper without touching the coins with my fingers. Is that the right thing to do and should I just put these aside or spend them freely?

Don't know about the mintage of the 2012-P Jefferson's yet.

Sounds like you have N.F. String & Son wrappers. They are a very popular "wrapper".

Nice finds!

Search the rolls for gems and spend the rest for us to find.

I would throw a few on ebay this early. Someone is always overpaying for coins early in the year.
Here are completed listings for 2012 Nickels.

they were in the String wrappers, but now one is in an older model of paper. I'll probably toss them in the safe but that idea of putting a few on ebay may work out too.
Thanks.

Same here (no other 2012 coins), although my daughter scarfed up my el Yunque quarter because it has a bird on it.
