I'm curious as to what is the largest coin in your collection, either by size or weight? My largest coin is my Sestertius of Nero Claudius Drusus, RIC 109. This coin weighs in at 28.6g and is 35mm (I'd hate to fall in the river with a purse full of these). What is your largest coin?

My largest isn't an ancient. You've posted in the ancients section; did you mean to restrict your question to ancients? My largest ancient is an Anglo-Gallic double-sestertius of Postumus. At 33mm, it's slightly bigger than my Imperial sestertii. It's got a blotchy patina making it difficult to photograph or scan, but it looks kind of like this one on Wildwinds. My largest mediaeval is an Islamic multiple-dirham from the Samanid dynasty of Afghanistan. At 42mm it's actually my largest circulating coin, in terms of diameter if not weight:

My largest Justinian I follis is 41 mm, while my heaviest coin is Roman, an anonymous republican as from 217-215 BC weighing in at a monster 49.7g!

The largest coin in my collection is a Russian 5 kopek from Catherine II's reign (don't remember the date offhand, but should be between 1760 and 1790), which isn't actually ancient (though it definitely looks the part). My ancients are almost all tiny. There's an Olbian dolphin that's like 30mm long, which would be the largest by diameter; next after that (and/or largest by area) is an Aurelian antoninianus that I got in a smackdown (it's an incredibly huge 22mm). My largest medieval coin, as far as I can tell, is also my only medieval coin, and is a silver denga (?) of late 14th century Suzdal (seller's attribution - a brief catalog check confirmed that it at least doesn't contradict anything I can still see on that piece of metal). Can't find it right now, so no size figure, but considering what I remember of it 16mm or so seems reasonable (admittedly, I have a few coins that are slightly too late to be literally medieval, but can be considered so in spirit; but all of them are probably even tinier).

My largest was actually too big for the rig I was using to take pictures and needs rephotographed badly, but here it is. 38 mm, 44.4 g, bronze coin of Ptolemy III.
