I came across this recently. I'm guessing that this is some sort of medal for the 12th regiment of the Italian Bersegliere. I believe the inscription on the reverse translates to "Remember that you are Bersegliere."

Does anyone know more about it? What kind of medal is it? Was it part of the uniform, or was it given on a special occasion? About when does it date to? Any collector value?

Thanks in advance.

looks like a memento that might have been issued, sold, or given away during the first hundred years of their long history.

From further research it looks like this might date to 1936. If anyone can confirm this, it'd be great.

Also, I'd really like to know the purpose of this medal, so if anyone knows, please share.
