I think this came from a friend who serves in the Air Force (I can't contact him at this time) and I think it was from his time in Bosnia, but I'm not really sure about that. Any help would be appreciated

Sorry I dont have a book on world currency yet, But I would say Its an Eastern Block Country. It appears to have the Russian Launguage on it. I am sure I have only told you what you already know though. I bet GXseries would know, and be able to read it.

I can read Cyrillic, although I don't understand much of it. The note is from Uzbekhistan, if I'm reading correctly. The top line reads "Uzbekhistan Republic *something* Bank."

I was thinking Yugoslavia Alot of the counties there use a similar torch and wheat ears design one with a star and one with cicle and hammer etc.

You're right Dave, that is an Uzbekistan Note.

The line on top means Uzbekistan Republic Central Bank
The alphabet is Cryllic but the language belongs to Turkish family.

The note is 100 Som.
The building depicted is Druzhba Narodov Palace (Fraternity of People) in Tashkent.
