I just noticed a rather odd thing on ebay. The item is a tourist replica of half of a 1732 Pillar dollar. They are one sided - with the other side giving a brief description of the "coin". They were sold in sets of a $1.00 at numerous locations. The only interesting thing about this one is that the description points to a French or Canadian origin.

My only problem is the odd way in which this worthless items is described. Here is the entire description.

Description

1732 SILVER FOUR BITS,DEMI PESOS D'ARGENT

The coin shown is the one you will receive. This coin is beleived to be an authentic silver dollar from 1732

Good luck!!!

How can anyone believe that?

The seller has a similar whole coin offered that has both French and English writing on it. It seems like a much better buy for the same price as the half coin.
