I was just going through my low grade "cull" coin box and noticed these coins. Sometimes you have to hold them under the light at an angle to bring out the details also it changes the color and instead of looking dark they look red. Most of these coins dont look much more then a corroded round disc and most have an ugly blotchy color to them. Here are a few of mine that show corrosion, have an ugly color or are just plain ugly... If you have a few that dont fit most peoples standards post them here and let us hav a look at your coin.

This coin still has some silvering that the picture doesn't bring out and there is corrosion on the middle reverse. LICINIUS I

This one is corroded really bad but I think its AUGUSTUS provincial with JULIA TRIAD reverse?

LICINIUS I
A.D. 308-324 Æ Follis. Rev. IOVI CONSERVATORI AVGG NN, Jupiter standing left holding Victory and sceptre, eagle at feet, .TS.Î'. in exergue, mint of Thessalonica. 3.6gm 21mm RIC 60

This one smells l like a large copper and has the feel of a well circulated large cent. DOMITIAN
A.D. 81-96 Æ Dupondius. Rev. (FORTVNA) AVGVSTA S C, Fortuna standing left holding rudder and cornucopiae. 9.6gm 27mm

This is another badly corroded one and from what I can tell its a VALENTINIAN I
A.D. 364-375 Æ 3. Rev. GLORIA ROMANORVM, Valentinian advancing right dragging captive and holding labarum, wreath in left field and it almost looks like a FT in right but I havent researched this one yet so thats about all I can make out on this coin.

This was a metal detector find in the UK.Without the legend its dificult to tell much more but I think this would be MAGNENTIUS
A.D. 350-353 Æ Centenionalis. Obv. D N MAGNENTIUS P F AVG, Draped, cuirassed bust right. Rev. VICTORIAE DD NN AVG ET CAE, Two Victories holding wreath inscribed VOT V MVLT X
