I know I'm probably grasping at straws but I think this coin might be Valerian II. I wish I could get a clearer image, but this is the best I can do from the detail of the coin. Any help with this one would be appreciated.

I can't see anything that can distinguish this as a Valerian II, or any other emperor of this era. Does the bust match those on coins of Valerian II, or is the reverse style on this coin unique to coins of him? Those are the only ways I can think of in confirming its Valerian II.

I would guess Gallienus, but I'm a total rookie. Maybe victory or some female figure with a spear on the back?

To me the bust looks just like him and what I can make out from the reverse it also matches one that was used on his coins. The coin is much better looking in hand, Because of it's dark color and low detail taking clear picture is just about impossible.

I can make out a G as the last letter of the reverse legend. I would try to match the bust style and reverse image to coins with legends ending in AVG or AVGG.

I don't know my friend. I can't see Valerian II as he is portrayed on coins as a very young boy. Here is my only Valerian II for comparison:

The face on this coin is beadless and has very young features, that's what lead me to think it might be him. It is a close match to this one from wildwinds.

You may be right. It's too bad we can't make out any more of the obverse legend.

It's too bad the condition isn't very good, but until I get a better it would be my only one for him.

I can't really make out much either, since I can't really see any legend from the pics.

Based on a search solely for the reverse figure standing in this position, with a tall scepter in left hand and a similar Radiate obv. I come up with Tetricus II/ Pax.

Thanks Doucet, I'll look into that.

Well, after a long look under the microscope and a leed by Doucet I am 99.9% sure this coin is Tetricus II PAX AVG. Not enough detail to come up with a RIC number though. Thanks everyone.

I was still thinking about this one, Tetricus II would match what appears to be a clean shaven youthful bust.
I'd considered and then discarded a 'PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS' reverse (as shown on your VII coin echizento) as the figure didn't seem to fit with what I could see.
Shame, a VII would have been an interesting find!
