This was the coin I was talking about in a previous post

Quote:
continental curency 1776

I got this at a yard sale recently. after doing some research I am aware that there are many fakes, but I am unable to determine if mine is fake or real. the side is rough, but no "copy" stamp as I am told some of them have.

I tried uploading an image, but it does not seem to be working.

any suggestions?

As a collector, I would say this is an obvious counterfeit. The details are all "off" and the surface is that of a cheap counterfeit.

get an accurate weight of it - that is a conclusive way to tell whether it is fake or not.

I've edited the title to make it a little clearer.
Rest in Peace
