Rounded sides like that usually indicate a Dryer Coin. I had a bunch of pennies like that in a CWR once. Also had it happen in my own dryer. Coin gets trapped in the fins of the dryer drum and go round and round and round and round against the back of the drum.

If it was in a dryer why is the coin drastically thinner then normal if the dryer caused that the entire coin should be damaged more then it is.
