So I noticed that the S mint marks are in different locations. Just wondering if it is an error? Also let me know if you notice anything else about it

Mint marks were stamped by hand back then. This mint mark would be (to my knowledge) within the tolerance of a normal mint mark.

KisNap has it right. Up through 1989 the MM was hand punched on the die so placement will vary. Yours is within mint tolerances.

I did notice the difference in the 'S''s. I don't know anything about the Mint tolerances in this regard, however. Perhaps I have a little more to learn.

Of course another possibility is where the Mint workers spent their lunch time. After a few Martini's, a Mint Mark could end up on Lincoln Nose.
On the one at the right there appears to be some sort of marks under the Liberty. S Mint mark appears more closed. Sort of a double line on the Rim too. That thing on Lincoln's Nose looks like he should have used a Kleenex.
