Out of about a 1000 or so searched in my friends change stash, I found about 30 absolutely blazing nickels. It's very hard to capture the luster on these, but here's an example. The luster is amazing on this coin, very mirror like but with a slight roughness from the flowlines. Most of the blazers I found seemed to be from 1990. Apparently, that was a good year for nickels....but here's a non-1990:

I'd go MS-64, but I have little experience with Jeffersons

Nice

POst a couple of 90's:) Thirty blazing nicklels is very good IMHO. The last 1000 I have looked at have not been as productive.

Not many guesses, this coin has blazing luster. I think it'd be a lock for 65 with a chance at 66 with a TPG. You'd be surprized at what they forgive in the name of luster.
