An old acquisition and one of my favorites, but I never photographed it before, so I decided to test my coin photography skills on it and the others I'm going to post today. I don't think I did too bad.  |

I even notice that it's the ultra-rare "clipped" coin with the "Blakesley effect" as well, hee hee hee! Seriously, a nice coin and very good photography, Valiant. You've picked up the detail very well. I'd be pleased with this coin too. Nice one!

I find that the lighting is the most difficult part when taking photos (by varying the light, I seem to be able to make a coin look awesome, or awful) ... You did well with the lighting, making your coin look very strong and attractive => great photo!! |

Thanks pennysaver and stevex6!  Pennysaver, interestingly enough, in the description when it was on sale, that clipped part was labeled as a "flan error". I'm not enough of an expert on that matter so if anyone can confirm whether or not it really is an error that would be great. Edited by VisigothKing
