An old acquisition and one of my favorites, but I never photographed it before, so I decided to test my coin photography skills on it and the others I'm going to post today. I don't think I did too bad.

I even notice that it's the ultra-rare "clipped" coin with the "Blakesley effect" as well, hee hee hee! Seriously, a nice coin and very good photography, Valiant. You've picked up the detail very well. I'd be pleased with this coin too. Nice one!

I find that the lighting is the most difficult part when taking photos (by varying the light, I seem to be able to make a coin look awesome, or awful) ...

You did well with the lighting, making your coin look very strong and attractive => great photo!!

Thanks pennysaver and stevex6!

Pennysaver, interestingly enough, in the description when it was on sale, that clipped part was labeled as a "flan error". I'm not enough of an expert on that matter so if anyone can confirm whether or not it really is an error that would be great.
