That's a fairly nice for the first coin purchase. I think my first purchase was in poorer condition. I'll have to look at mine and see. My first actual ancient coin was given to me by JW.
Some years back, my very first Roman coin was in rather poor condition--and I overpaid for it. It may explain why I got disinterested. The second time around, I bought a nicer "first" coin. You chose well!

Here are my actual first two ancients; I bought them at the same time at a local coin show in April of last year.
Besides a nice original patina you can see the details on the face and a good legend on the obv. I like the faces on the reverse and the chi rho. Overall thats a really nice coin.
