I was told that the State Quarter errors are fairly common, could someone please tell me if this is a Cud as a result from a die crack? I have never seen any crack or Cud of this size.

I know that the pic quality is not great but I am working on investing in a better camera.

Thank you all for your time!

First it wouldn't be a Cud because Cuds are a special type of die break that always affects the rim of the coin. They are not called Cuds when they are in the middle of the coin. It is hard to tell without sharper photos but I think what you have is PMD from a cut on the coin. The cut pushed up metal on one side of it.

Thanks for the input. I did not see any impression on the coin suggesting a cut of any kind. I guess a closer inspection by a coin dealer is in order here.

I got so excited to post this, I failed to look at it close enough. I now see the cut running through the middle of this line and it pushed the edges up. I am sorry to waste your time!

Not a waste of time, but a legitimate question you got an answer to. I have posted several cuts like that myself thinking they might be die cracks at first
Rest in Peace

It was a good question that needed an answer. It's never a waste of time.
