I have no clue on this one. Its Chines but beyond that I'm lost.

This is a Japanese medal.

The two characters on the obverse (or front? since we're talking about medals) say "banzai" or ten thousand years

On the reverse, the two running horizontal mean gala, and the three running down since commemorative medal.

The characters running on the bottom says Showa 3, November. A quick search confirms this is the coronation medal for Emperor Hirohito, crowned Nov 10th, 1928.

Are there any marks on the side indicating metal, fineness, etc?
