I was looking in the catalogue, and noticed this year has an expensive variation: 1.00 2.00 3.00 4.00 OR 25.00 40.00 60.00 100 (Note: Reverse of Y#123)

However the reverse of Y123 has the same description as Y116 which is my coin. Rev: Value within octagon flanked by sprigs with date below.

So I was hoping someone can clarify which one I have?

It all boils down to counting ribbon loops on the wreath. There were 15 republics in the USSR, so the slogan, Proletaries of the World Unite!, was written in 15 languages.

Y116, yours, has 8 loops on the left and 7 on the right. Later issues, starting with Y123, started utilizing the center piece, so they have only 7 loops on either side.

Edit: There is no actual writing on the ribbon on coins, so no need to look for it with a microscope.
