Is this a planchet crack or a scratch . from the rim to the neck along cheek bone into the hair .

that would be a die crack, not a planchet crack

die cracks= common
planchet cracks= not common and quite collectible as an error

Question., isn't a die cracked supposed to be raised medal on the coin .as you can see their is no raised medal . their is an open valley the lenght of the crack.

You keep switching out pictures One that was there when I posted did show a raised are at the neck but your new photo shows a depression that looks like a big scratch.

I finely got a better picure to show part of the crack . it does run from the rim to the neck then up to the cheek bone area along the cheek into the hair . if the picture was blown up bigger it is easy to see. and thanks for your comments .
