Hey everyone, so I recently started picking up boxes of quarters from banks and had some decent luck. I was wondering if anyone (in canada) has picked up boxes of 50c or if thats even possible. Also, if someone has, was it worth while? Mainly looking for silver. Thanks !

Oh and also, any way to find old loonies (pre 80s) at banks or anywhere outside of collectors/coin stores

Well unfortunately banks don't give out 50 cent pieces nor do they carry them. Plus the size of the 50 cent decreased in 1968 (when they were made in nickel) therefore you wouldn't find any silver even if you managed to get some rolls unless you were to find a roll of 1967 or older.
