Hi everyone,
Someone here pointed me toward forumactioncoins.com in regard to donating cull coins for educational use (they get donated to schools). Here is an email I got from them listing the address to send the coins if anyone is interested...I'm going to send them batch.

Hi Chris,

I just stumbled into your old email that it appears I did not answer. Sorry
about the delay. We do accept ancient coins (including low grade culls) and
send them to teachers for free. If you want to donate, please send the
coins to the address below.

Thanks,
Joe

Message : Hello,
I see you donate slugs and cull coins to schools. I clean roman coins and
would be happy to donate culls and low grade coins as long as they are going
to schools.
I couldn't find info in you faq about how to donate, if interested please
contact me at the listed email address.

Thank you.

Hey Chris,
I started a topic not that long ago mentioning that I am a teacher that is looking for suggestions for types of coins to include in lessons with my students. Another member mentioned that I should start a donation drive to put together some coins for this purpose. I have post-poned starting a drive because I won't some time to put together lesson plans in the next month or two so that I can show members what they would be donating for. Just thought I would mention that you have a frequenting member right here in CCF that could benefit tremendously (not to mention my students benefit) from just this type of altruism. Mostly the wait is so I can show some members the work they will be contributing too. I think I will even be able to share some images of the kids that will be benefitting as well (consent forms and all that). Just something to keep in mind.

BTW, not saying for anyone not to donate to any school organization but if you decide to, hang on to one or two of them for these kids I've got. They'd love 'em.

And...I might have to check out this organization as well to see if they can help me.

Thanks.

I have contributed to Joe's collection for schools in the past and will probably to so again in the future. It's a good thing to help student's appreciate history and how numismatics have played a role throughout history. I still have a bag full of culls and low grade coins. I will be saving them hermanwilliams for your project. Just let us know and you may have more to deal with then you bargained for.

Thanks Jw.
I may even have to contact Joe about how he is incorporating them into lessons. That kind of info can be as important as the coins themselves.

I may not have a bag full of culls or low grades like JW, but I sure have a few to donate to both you hermanwilliams and Joe's students. Like JW said you may be surprised at how many coins you may receive from these folks on this forum. Keep us informed.
